the knowledge in there only being infinity that lies beyond feels almost comforting in a way. The isolation of the liminal space provide an atmosphere that feels like home, like you never want to leave.

I LOVE THE GAME BUT DESPISE THE INVISIBLE STAIR EYE LEVEL. its incredibly frustrating trying to move through it, especially when the only way to gauge where you are is a random massive eye like 200 feet beneath your position
There are big chicken stair heads and a tiny chicken stair head, 10/10, next GOTY

Staircase of leaves
When I first launched the game I went up the stairs, found an elevator, went up the elevator a couple of times and closed the game because I thought that "hey, it's just about going up the elevator. What's so fancy about it?" Well, I'm glad I decided to give this game another shot because then I found negative floors right off the bat...
This is truly a wonderful surreal experience that's unfortunately not for everyone. This is about exploring and inhaling the eerie and weird atmosphere, an interactive painting so to speak. Still, it's a interesting game that's definitely your time. Can't wait to see the full version!

I had a funny first experience with this game. I immediately went down, faceplanted, and got to the invisible area. I went the normal route and fell maybe 5 times before I noticed this abomination to the left:
Naturally, I got obsessed. I spent over an hour just tapping out different directions and trying to gauge my height along floating eyes in the distance. I got 80% up the path but fell. It was sickening, literal head rush sick. I had to uninstall, just delete it from the face of my computer. I think I had a nightmare about it that night.
I came to my senses 2 days later, when I write this. I love Yume Nikki and this is too great a game to ignore just because I played it wrong. So I played and explored normally for a while and enjoyed myself, but later I had the strangest urge to try it again. I loved Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, so it makes sense. I found I was way faster at it than the other day. It's the joy of accumulating skill but in the strangest way in this case. I fell a few times early, fell again at the same spot 80% up, realized what I was doing wrong there, and I did it. I god damn did it. I was so proud. I would do it just for the challenge but I did think the reward at the top was worth it too.
This game holds little worlds. Its environment design, sound design, and placement are so encapsulating and vivid in ideas and feelings beyond the sum of the parts. Scary and mysterious and calming and nostalgic. I loved every minute I played.
Now I want to try it (Staircore) too. Yume Nikki is a wonderful game, and if this game warrants your comparison to it, I'm very curious about what Staircore is lol
I think this is probably the biggest way the developers didn't want you to play this game lmao but I did it cause I can lmao. I climbed to level 1000 in this game, I'm unsure if anyone else is unemployed enough to do this but if you wanna see me struggle I hope you enjoy the video

Bizzare and cool with secrets and unexpected interactions. With these types of games sometimes the experience can get a little boring, but here I always found something that kept me interested and wanting to keep exploring. The environments felt eerie and dreamlike, the atmosphere was there.
There were some problems with loading transitions that froze the game for a few seconds, the audio and sound effects sometiems didn't feel that much immersive, but other than that it ran smoothly and was playable.
As a demo it was pretty good, I look forward to see all the new additions as development progresses, good work so far.

your game is very good, but it also has a few issues. I think it is not a big deal since the game is still a demo. The only thing that happened was that sometimes I would open a door and it led to nowhere - there was just a skybox and the game would freeze.I had to restart from the very beginning (I only saw this in the starting location with the stairs) Other than that, the game is very interesting. I really enjoyed exploring different locations. I also think you should work on the sound design in more detail some sounds in the game are, let's say.. weird..
Issue: I somehow no clip (straight up fell off the map) from the end of the red hallway (where it takes you the 2 blue ((snakes?)) and I would like someone to add "reset" button or simply fix the system because I have fallen so far down that I only see the city lights 360 degrees. Thank you very much, otherwise I love the weird vibes it gives off, 9.5/10.

besides the difficult of the invisible stair, I really liked the game. I hope you'll release a full version in the future, I sure would buy it
Great game
Cool, Yume Nikki-style experience. The only complaint I have is the game gets obnoxiously loud at times. I kept lowering the volume until I was "blessed" with the earrape at the arcade and settled on a whopping 15% volume which finally allowed my ears to stopped bleeding.
What is all the hype about bud?

Some performance issues but otherwise great! Love the combination of artsy liminal with the occasional weirdcore/funny stuff thrown in. -3 was a sight to behold.
